If your question is about VAPUG itself, please send us email here. Other questions should be posted in the forum by clicking here or .

Will there be any headhunters there? Vendors? Progress sales people?

VAPUG does not invite headhunters to our meetings. Some member companies would see conflict with sending their employees to VAPUG if headhunters were there trying to steal them away. So, no headhunters. Sorry, Jeff. We do have an occasional vendor or two show up. They are asked to keep a low profile and not prospect any members unless the member has approached them with questions about their products. Finally, yes: there will be Progress sales people at most meetings. They are guests, they understand they are there to support customers and only answer questions. No pressure tactics or selling; just service. ThatÂ’s the rule.

What does Allegro get out of all of this?

Our staff gets the opportunity to deliver informative presentations about new, exciting, topical subject matter that you can actually use when you get back to the office. That is a big reward in itself. Most importantly, by sponsoring the local Progress community, we help make sure businesses and individuals who have invested heavily in Progress products and technology have a venue to hear about how to keep up with the Microsofts, Oracles and Javas of the world as well as know that others are using and continuing to extend the usefulness of their Progress products.
