Statistical Research Laboratory (SRL), a company that develops software to deliver plug-and-play solutions to financial trading desks, has partnered with Progress to provide a complete trading technology solution for brokers and hedge funds. The solution, powered by Progress Apama Complex Event Processing Platform, will offer "Broker in a box" technology and "Hedge fund in a box" capabilities.

Banco Fator Corretora, a Brazilian bank and brokerage firm, has deployed the Progress® Apama® Algorithmic Trading Accelerator. According to Progress, the solution will "will play a critical role in Banco Fator’s new electronic trading strategy, enabling it to more effectively develop high frequency, proprietary trading tactics, rapid customization, and low latency execution of trades on behalf of its buy-side clients."
Robert Levy has been appointed to the new executive position of Senior Vice President and Chief Product Officer (CPO). He oversees all aspects of the Progress software solution portfolios from product management, development, quality assurance, etc. He and his team will work closely with the global marketing and field operations organizations to determine the market needs and how to achieve them.
