West Bend Mutual Insurance Improving I.T. Infrastructure, Using Progress for SOA Solution
West Bend Mutual Insurance, a property and casualty insurance carrier, is building a SOA-based I.T. infrastructure with Progress' Sonic ESB and Actional products. To reduce costs and be proactive in business opportunities, the company is combining all of its various internal policy administration applications into one insurance portal. According to Progress, "This increased business agility will enable West Bend Mutual to accelerate the introduction of new insurance products in order to help them grow their business in a soft market."
