To make its I.T. infrascture more agile, Prudential UK has deployed the Progress® FUSE ESB® (enterprise service bus) in its annuities business unit. It uses FUSE ESB to connect its complex back-end systems, which will enable automated processing to support its Annuities Operation.The organization will use a suite of resuable web services to determine calculated returns for different annuity products. The services are connected to diverse back-end systems including databases, WebSphere MQ, and third-party services. In addition to using the ESB product, Prudential UK is relying on Progress' FUSE Message Broker product for high performance and reliable messaging, according to Progress.
